This year tested the resilience of crypto. The industry endured bankruptcies, lawsuits, layoffs, turnover, and an overall sense of doom. But there is much to look forward to. Not only have there been advancements across multiple sectors of crypto (Bitcoin, Layer1s, Stablecoins, DeFi, and yes, even NFTs), but we’re back to the basics in many respects: there's been more permissionless innovation vs. centralized cults of personality. I have written this year-end piece for the fifth year in a row because there's reason for hope and optimism. A big part of succeeding in crypto (and in life) is simply surviving volatility.
